... since my earliest youth I concerned myself in most different manner with technique - from the model construction to today for the restoration of clocks. I collecting since now over 20 years antiques and specialized in collecting eraly clocks. My main assembly areas are early large clocks - stand-, wall and table clocks, electro clocks, but also watchmaker tools and horological literature. I interest me in addition for a wide spectrum at Horology - of pocket- over tower clocks until there to sun clocks - and collecting very intensively horological literature. At present, I try autodidactic my collecting-experiences and my collection to describe in a book (" clocks - the collection Ermert a selection" with the topics "over clocks and collecting - story to record philosophy and facts"). A small booklet with a directory "Famous Clockmakers/Heroes of Horology" is also in work. Member in the German society for Chronometrie e.V. (DGC) as well as the regional Cologne clock society. To the information and to exchange of experience further memberships with international sister associations, like The Antiquarian Horological Society (AHS), British Horological of institutes (BHI) and chronométrophilia (Swiss society for the history of time measurement), the German association Chronos (society of the clock friends e.V.) as well as in the Vereniging Vrienden museum van het Nederlandse Uurwerk. My newest hobby is that Internet, where I make other horological friends available information together with Web friends.
